Behavioral Health
Counseling, substance use treatment, and psychiatric care, provided alongside your medical care by a team that treats recovery and physical health as the same work.
If you need help right now
If you are thinking about harming yourself, or you are worried about someone who is, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. If someone is unconscious, not breathing, or in immediate danger, call 911. For treatment referrals at any hour, the SAMHSA National Helpline is 1-800-662-4357.
Support that meets you where you are
Some people come to us for counseling. Some come for treatment after an overdose. Both are welcome, and both are treated the same way.
Individual counseling
One-on-one sessions with a counselor to work through depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use, or the ordinary stress of a hard stretch of life.
Group counseling
Structured groups where people in recovery and people managing mental health conditions work alongside others who understand the situation.
Medication-assisted treatment
Medication for opioid and alcohol use disorder, prescribed and monitored by licensed clinicians in our network under their own registration, and paired with counseling and recovery support.
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
Assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of psychiatric medications, with regular review of how the medication is working for you.
Peer and recovery support
Time with people who have been through recovery themselves and know what the first weeks and the hard months actually feel like.
Care coordination and referral
Help with housing, benefits, court and probation requirements, family reunification, and referral to residential treatment when a higher level of care is needed.
Treatment without a waiting list of conditions
You do not have to be sober to be seen. You do not have to have a diagnosis, a job, an address, or a clean record. People arrive at treatment from every direction, and the ones who need it most are usually the ones who have been turned away before.
We treat substance use and mental health together, and we treat both alongside your medical care, because separating them is what caused most of our patients to fall through the gaps in the first place.
Your privacy
Your health information is protected under HIPAA. Records relating to substance use treatment carry an additional layer of federal protection under 42 CFR Part 2, which limits when those records can be shared even further.
We will explain in plain language what we can share, with whom, and what you are agreeing to before you sign anything. If you want a family member, a case manager, or an attorney involved in your care, that is your decision to make in writing.
What to expect
Reach out
Call us or complete the intake packet online, and we will schedule your first appointment. You can call on behalf of a family member, though we will need to speak with them directly.
Assessment
A counselor meets with you to understand your history, your immediate needs, and your safety. This is a conversation, not an interrogation.
Your plan
Together we decide on the level of support that fits, whether that is counseling, medication, group work, or a referral to a higher level of care.
Staying with it
Recovery is not a straight line. If you miss appointments or return to use, come back. We do not discharge people for relapsing.
Help available around the clock
These lines operate independently of UNIFY Health & Wellness and are available at all hours.
